THE WHISTLE
The Whistle was designed by a designer who experienced the exact problem this product aims to address, the problem of portable sketching. This designer, as you may know, was me.
As a designer, I am constantly on the lookout for new ideas, new problems, new inspiration. The idea for this product came while out during an architectural course. I saw a facade concept on a building that I believed had a lot more potential and wanted to sketch it down, but there was no surface around. That's when the idea for a portable sketchpad arose.
After about a year of development through various models and prototypes and a lot of user trials, the final product has finally been complete and is now available. Having started using it myself, I can only speak highly of the benefits it gives designers. Unlock creativity on a whole new level with The Whistle.
ABOUT
THE PRODUCT
The Whistle is a product fully based around the concept of sustainability and sustainable design. Made from materials that are all either recyclable or biodegradable ensures that we do not harm the environment through the end of life processes.
The Whistle incorporates various innovative features which make it unique in its market. The magnetic mechanism allows for the paper to be securely fastened when drawing, as well as allowing for the clipping of the designer pen.
The fax paper allows for drawing with any objects, sticks, finger nails or the additionally designed pen with plastic tip.
The turning mechanism allows for paper to be wound back into the protective aluminum roll if unfinished, or the paper can be ripped at A4 size using the bladed edge, which allows for a clean, precise cut.
